Wonderful Poem for our Farm

                                                      DANCES WITH HOOVES"

                                         As I sat relaxed, enjoying the night
                                         The quiet told me that somethings not right
                                         I listened intently but heard not a sound
                                         Looked and scanned, not an animal around!

                                         Oh the peace of that night was quite a treasure
                                         A cool breeze and stars were such a pleasure
                                        Then all of a sudden I heard a strange tapping
                                        And suddenly I was sure I heard something clapping

                                       Then a slight whinny, a baah and a little moo
                                       Oh my goodness "what are they all up too"?
                                       I knew there was something going on in that barn
                                       Not a critter to be seen standing out on the farm

                                       I heard wings flapping and then a great Who!
                                      The owl then appeared and a rodent or two
                                      The dog quietly stood up and meandered on down
                                      To the barn where he quietly laid on the ground

                                      The barn doors then flew open and in the moonlight
                                      I could see all the animals gathered there in dim light
                                      I wandered down staying hidden in darkness
                                     When suddenly I saw Them, the goats and the horses

                                     Then I saw the sign hung up over the door
                                     Come one! Come all! lots of room on the floor
                                     Bring a friend or bring a guest!
                                     Tonight is your time to kick back and just rest!

                                     I peeked thru a window and was shocked and surprised!
                                     At the hoops and the hollers, the cheers and the cries
                                     For there in the center were the horses and pigs
                                     They were spinning and jumping, then shaking their legs!

                                     I then saw the sign hung high up above!
                                     Come and enjoy "Dances With Hooves"!
